Create a pocket of greenery in the city with up to $10,000 in matched grant funding.

Help make the city a cooler and more attractive place with a grant from Council’s new $200,000 Green City Grant
Program.

Greening projects must be visible from a street or other public place and can include living walls, green facades,
vertical gardens, planter boxes, window boxes, greenery that spills over balconies, vines or climbers on verandahs and
other structures, and upgrades to existing verge gardens.

Funding is available to cover up to half of the cost of each greening project. Grants start at $500 for residents and
$1,000 for business and building owners, up to a maximum grant of $10,000 in matched funding.

Green Cities of Adelaide have designed and installed many Atlantis® Gro-wall® vertical gardens in South Australia.
Here are several as shown in this brochure.

  • A feature wall for the Adelaide Club, clad in Papua New Guinea teak with seasonal flowing plants on the lower shelves.
  • A newly installed canopy supermarket rooftop facade for climbing vines.
  • A swimming pool back drop
  • A waiting room feature wall.

The versatile Atlantis® Gro-wall® vertical Garden is suitable from home uplift to commercial architectural building
feature walls and green facades, and can be used both indoors and outdoors.
